In 1947 an earthquake of medium magnitude struck Southern Wisconsin.  The temblor struck and the shaking lasted for forty seconds.  People evacuated buildings and structural damage was reported in many areas, although nobody was killed.  Another smaller earthquake occurred back in 1929, but records of the effects of that quake are scanty, at best.

It can’t help but come back since the company that owns the concept and application of the event and destination admits that the Lake Geneva Ice Castle was the most successful one they’ve ever opened (and they’ve opened castles all over the nation)

The snow came after an earlier preparation layer put down by God, or at least directed by one of His minions. The weather was specially held in suspension, as forty and fifty-degree days and nights came and went in a place (Wisconsin) that almost never sees such warmth at this time of the year
