LITTLE GEMS
Do you like pain?
The over-the-top ‘red’ gang has taken over the minds of many school board attendees in many states, including Wisconsin. These anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers now wear red clothing and shout down or threaten school board members they disagree with. This occurred at the last school board meeting that was held at Badger High School a month ago. Some of these small-minded protesters, wildly set against the wearing of masks or ‘preventing their children from being exposed to the virus so they can gain natural immunity’ have begun to affect how school boards are being staffed and run.
No one, except these far-out attendees, wants to serve on the boards anymore. Why would anyone want to put up with that harassment and risk? At some point, school boards, participation by parents, and decisions about how to conduct the schooling of children will be gone and a few ruling members of the school districts will make all decisions from within barricaded school facilities. The Geneva Shore Report firmly supports and endorses those who might choose to serve on school boards during these times, however, nobody on the staff of the GSR is going to do that themselves, and that same staff wonders into the future who else is going to stand down and not participate.
Polar Plunge 2022.
The annual tradition of very short but great good fun is only days away. Come participate, or just watch, as hundreds of locals and visitors plunge into the cold waters of Geneva Lake. The plunge will take place at high noon on New Year’s Day at Williams Bay Beach. Many people have made this a family and local geographic tradition, and they come in groups, getting as festive and fun as they can with costumes, creative get-ups, and strong doses of alcohol. When it comes time to run into the water, everyone’s adrenaline will be pumping, and the participants will come out of the lake a whole lot faster than they went in. Happy New Year. Come get wet and let 2021 be left in the icy waters of January Geneva Lake.
