That monthly event, formerly known as the Meeting of the Whole, wherein the city council would show up and listen to any citizens (or others) who showed up to have at them in a public forum, doesn’t really take place anymore.

Mayor Charlene Klein, a mayor the Geneva Shore Report has supported from the beginning, turned into absolute mush before the whole city on Monday night. She broke the tie vote to invoke a doubling of the parking rate and then move the fine (for being late on paying a meter) to fifty dollars, up from twenty dollars.
