LITTLE GEMS
What’s going on with flooring over at the horticultural building?
What happened with that bid, that went to Todd Krause’s operation (he’s running for mayor)? He won the bid and put in the floor, but then charged $25,000 more because ‘suppliers raised their prices.’ Say what? How does that calculate in to bidding and doing the work bid on? Aren’t the general contractors responsible to figure out prices before they did and then make sure they have hard contracts for materials?
Anybody can say prices went up, and what happens then? Everyone goes into a forensic audit mode to make sure. And what about Todd’s vote to approve the zoning variance the Duggans, over on Highway H wanted? What was right about that? The Duggans, and you know them if you have ever driven Highway H, past their apartment complex because they are the ones that have the anti-democratic, pro-Trump stuff all over their front yard, wanted a variance because they build a parking lot to close to the highway, violating a setback ordinance. What they wanted is called an ‘apology permit,’ and they didn’t get it. Krause voted to give it to them, however. Come on Todd! Todd’s a good guy and very bright but that king of stuff isn’t looking too good at all, especially not with an election coming in little more than a month.
