OUR PLACE

The stunningly severe traffic problem on weekend and holiday days in Lake Geneva.
The only serious discussions about this awful and growing mess are about the money parking increases have added to city coffers this summer.  The idea, which needs to be badly and acutely revisited right now, has to be about parking garages.  There’s space for them and the city has seventy million dollars it can borrow to pay for them until they pay for themselves.

The Geneva Shore Report opposed the building of the only garage that’s ever made it in front of the council.  The facility was going to be too small, and it was way overpriced.  Will this current council and plan commission membership put this on the agendas and then do something of merit about the problem.  VISIT Lake Geneva is doing a great job at bringing ever more people to the city and the surrounding areas but what about the place Stephanie (The Great!) is bringing all these people to?

The automated intersection signals are screwed up, so the heavy traffic can’t move through the city fast enough, or sometimes at all.  None of the buttons for crosswalks even work anymore.  What is the leadership doing?  Pouting over the loss of the goats, more than likely and mad as hell at the GSR.
