The City of Lake Geneva is offering a new way to pay and park downtown.
With the power of ParkMobile, visitors can now pre-reserve a parking spot in Lake Geneva for a future date. Instead of circling the block looking for parking, drive right to a reserved parking location in “Lot I “and have a pre-reserved spot waiting. Parkers will be just steps away from our Riviera Beach, downtown shopping, and dining. Make a reservation today for an all-day parking spot in a designated reserved lot at 151 Wells Street.
Just go to the ParkMobile App and click on “Reserve”. Parking reservations start at 6 a.m. on the day of the reservation and are valid until 3 a.m. the next day. To reserve an updated arrival date and time to be at least 6 a.m. At checkout, the system will auto-change the end time to 3 a.m. It is self-park and includes in and out privileges. Monday through Thursday all day parking will be twenty-three dollars (meter regular parking would be twenty dollars, but time limited to four hours maximum. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday all day parking will be forty-six dollars, instead of forty bucks. Will visitors become aware of this option?
Will this catch on? Only time will tell. The city keeps pushing the bar up by limiting people with lower financial means from visiting the city. One wonders what the result of that for the cultural identity of the idyllic place will be.
