THE BRIGHT SIDE

The Thanksgiving and Christmas spirit lives on in Delavan, Wisconsin.
A local woman is looking for her ‘angel in a green jacket’ after she provided her family with a Thanksgiving miracle. A death in the family, along with the diagnosis that two of her kids have special needs, has made these last two years especially tough for a Delavan woman. A random act of kindness at Walmart lifted her spirits, and now she’s on a mission to give thanks to who she calls her “angel in a green jacket.” Saturday, Nov. 18, started rough for the mom of three little ones in diapers, who is suffering from postpartum depression and whose anxiety is sometimes too much for her to complete a task like shopping in a crowded store.

The mom and her children made it into the store to complete their shopping. She made it all the way to the checkout before realizing that she didn’t have her wallet. The cart contained boxes of diapers for my kids, their toys, and Thanksgiving dinner totaling nearly $200. By this point, her daughter was crying and people behind her in line were getting upset because she was holding up the line. The ‘angel in a green jacket’ started taking things out of her cart and scanning them and bagging them for her, and the mom just stood there teary-eyed because she thought; “like, what is happening?”

The angel bought everything in the cart and didn’t even bat an eye. Now the mom is on a mission online, hoping to find her angel to say thank you.
