Dementia-friendly movies are coming to Lake Geneva.
Emagine Theater, Lake Geneva is excited to introduce, the first in Wisconsin, an exciting new program for those in the early stages of dementia and Alzheimer’s. It is called “No Hush Movies”. The Dementia Friendly Movies aim to provide a safe and enjoyable cinematic experience for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.  The auditorium lights are set higher, the sound levels are set lower, and the room temperature is comfortable.

What are “No Hush Movies”?  You are encouraged to participate if you like. Sing along, get up and dance, and talk, with no hushing. The cost is only $5.00 each and there will also be a refreshment special available, for $5.00. The first movie will be EASTER PARADE, on March 13th, and thereafter on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Driving in Wisconsin has become a more expensive activity in recent days.
Gas prices just keep going up and the upward trend is likely to continue as travelers start heading out of town for Spring Break. The average price of gas rose quite a bit during February with gas currently at $3.34 a gallon. In January we saw prices well under $3 a gallon. Oil prices are expected to continue rising, influenced by (they say) ongoing conflict in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine, and more expensive summer blends of fuel will soon be arriving at gas stations this spring.

In truth, however, the OPEC Middle East countries like Saudi Arabia, America’s ‘bone saw’ friend, have cut production substantially), Wisconsin saw one of the largest increases in gas prices over the past week.
