The Milwaukee Brewers have gotten off to a strong start to the 2024 MLB season as they sit atop the NL Central.
The Brewers have the ninth youngest team in baseball with an average age of 28.3 years old. For a team that lost its manager, winning pitcher, and other pieces in the offseason, the young players have stepped up and kept up the winning culture that has developed in Milwaukee in recent years. They have continued to win games despite the losses to the pitching staff. Six pitchers are currently on the injured list. Here’s an introduction to the rookies of the team that’s helping keep them at the top of their division. Jackson Chourio has had an intriguing start to the season, with him starting strong to begin with.

The center fielder is batting .219/.263/.352 on the year, which aren’t outstanding numbers, but it is a good start for someone so young into his professional baseball career. His five home runs, 15 RBIs, and six stolen bases are a great sign for what is to come. Robert Gasser was acquired as part of the Josh Hader to San Diego Padres trade and as one of the highest-rated prospects in the Brewers’ organization, he has been off to an electric start in the majors. On May 10th, he made his MLB debut against the St. Louis Cardinals in an 11-2 win. Gasser pitched six innings, gave up just two hits, no runs, or walks, and struck out four. The league will adjust to him at some point, but the future is bright, and he can be a real cornerstone of the Brewers’ rotation going forward.

Oliver Dunn has seen a fair share of time at third and was on the opening-day roster following strong outings in Spring Training. On the season he’s batting .226/.278/.333 with one home run and six RBIs in 90 plate appearances. Dunn started the season strong, dipped slightly but was having a strong May so far. With all the young and new talent on the Brewers, they are impressive and holding their own. This could very well be the season they bring home a championship.

The Milwaukee Bucks.
Lo and behold, the Bucks are looking for a new coach, or at least another coach to help the current one not lose so many games anymore.  Nobody’s talking about what’s going on inside the ‘locker room’ or the official Bucks offices, but change is coming.

The Green Bay Packers.
They picked another backup quarterback in the draft, and they already had a world-class backup waiting.  What was that?  Jordon Love’s contract is set to be negotiated and it turns out he wanted fifteen million.  What do you want to be that he’s now going to settle for a lot less.  The price of one draft pick is pretty easy to calculate using that kind of logic.
