LIVING HERE
Lake Geneva’s fall colors are starting to really pop.
Lake Geneva is beautiful no matter what season but fall in Lake Geneva is quite something. As of right now, the color change is right around fifty percent. The colors are now at the point where the change will be noticeable from day to day. The fourth week of October is usually full peak in Lake Geneva, so now is the time to take moments throughout your day to appreciate autumn’s beauty. The wonderful Geneva Lake offers so many great ways to enjoy the vibrant colors. Looking out across the lake gives a splendid view of all the different colors and shades fall offers. The lake also has the best walking path that goes around the lake and has some of the most beautiful old trees along the shore that display the colors very well. Get out and enjoy the colors before the leaves all fall and the cold weather sets in. No matter where you go around the lake to soak in the beauty you are sure to be pleased.
An icy winter tradition will not return to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin this year.
What used to be known as the “Ice Castles” is now called “Winter Realms.” Winter Realms will not be coming back to Geneva National. According to a press release, Winter Realms, the enchanting attraction from the creators of Ice Castles, will be taking a break in 2024. The decision comes after years of record-breaking weather in the area, which has created challenges for the company to deliver a magical experience to guests. The last few years were tough for the icicle makers as unusually warm winter temps caused the castle to continually melt.
This was a huge winter attraction for the area. It brought visitors from near and far. The company says they plan on spending the next year developing a new concept and hope to return to Lake Geneva in the future. Hopefully, they will come back next year with something even more magical.
