CAN YOU HEAR THE THUNDER?
When I returned from the war in Vietnam, having been a Marine Officer in combat and finally getting shot three times and going through years of recovery, I wrote a short story for a magazine of the time called Redbook. I wrote about living in a small home in the woods and waking up one morning to noise entering the bedroom from outside the forest. I moved toward the front door and walked outside to better hear the sounds. My wife followed and stood behind me as I listened and then turned to go back inside the house.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“To get dressed,” I replied.
“But it’s only five in the morning,” she said, following me inside. “It’s only the sound of distant thunder.”
As I dressed, I looked up at her.
“They’re calling me back,” I said, ignoring her because I was still asleep.
Today, as the nation continues to take in one long inhalation of collective ‘breath,’ not to begin to be expelled until January 20th of next year, those who read these pages should begin to listen for the thunder in the distance, as it is eventually not going to be caused by an approaching storm caused by bad weather.
The level of grief observable in the majority of the population is palpable out in and around all cities and communities as they go about trying to make believe that what is coming toward them is also make-believe. It is not. That public, like that of Germany before the actual onslaught of the war, could not believe that short little German wallpaper hanger with a strange mustache could and would destroy them, even when he was doing it. Very few Germans survived that war, those Germans who’d so happily allowed for their firing squad or slower form of execution.
America has been different in that it has allowed for a much greater range of different races, cultures, and social orders to enter and even bind together than any other country before it. That mix is its greatest strength and why the current incoming administration seeks first to end and then back out that special American feature.
Freedom is coming to the USA, and it will be a form of freedom for those who are owners and not renters. For those who have land, resources, walls, fortresses, and money. Those who have those things plentifully will have true freedom to do whatever they want, and that includes doing whatever they want to what they consider lesser humans. Lesser humans in the coming case will include women, children, and anyone one lily white in skin color. Yes, just like the eugenics used for that purpose in Germany now so long ago. Different terms and words are used to describe it. The white male population in America has been convinced that its ‘purity’ has been threatened and so is seemingly willing to take up arms.
Across the nation pick-up drivers and riders of Harley and more, feel that because they are armed and successful hunters they are warriors. They are not but they will need to have that proved to them as these coming ‘stormy’ days begin to evidence themselves. Hunting animals is not killing creatures who can and will shoot back, shoot first, shoot with much more powerful weapons, and more. Combat teaches humans about combat by killing them. But you have to kind of be there around that process before it comes home, for the rare humans who become true combat veterans and survive. But you will not meet any of those as there are too few to either be there to teach or be believed if they do, and the aggressive anthropoid apes disguising themselves as rural, rough talking and rough-riding warriors will indeed kill as they die in droves to prove something about a creature dressed, made up and trotted out as a god or a king or holding a similar title.
The people who have depended upon the government to provide services are going to disappear swiftly. Electricity will begin to become spotty or non-existent in areas, as water also becomes unpotable and rarely in pure quality. Social Security will be ever more diluted as will Medicare as Medicaid and state medical insurance for the lower income people will disappear. All of this and more will be attributed to the democrats or communists as they’ve been heinously referred to by the mass media. And then the blood will begin to flow. When people go hungry, they will somehow make do. When they can’t feed their children then the blood will begin to flow. What happened in Germany as a result? What happened to France in the French Revolution? The Russian Revolution. Rome. None of this is new to anthropologists but who reads or believes them anymore?
The wealthy did not become evil in their acquisition of billions. They became evil when it was decided by them that they indeed were entitled to everything and to rule everyone, and yet, they have the most to lose as the utter destruction of the richest, most free, and most gifted country on earth is dissembled right before everyone’s eyes. They will lose everything, just as most of the entire population of the United States, including their lives. The rest of the world will wait, as it does so well. It will wait until everything is reassembled across the country into what might resemble, more or less, a giant resale business, or flea market, and then they will come to comb the rubble for what I left. If you can’t wake up, go outside, and hear the thunder then you who are reading this will simply be among the first to learn about the ferocious and merciless teaching power of true open combat. God, and the rest of those left living on the planet, will bless the remains of the USA.
