The Getaway was voted one of the top 100 best fish fries in Wisconsin.
The Getaway, located on Lake Como, has a mouthwatering fish fry with a very loyal following. It includes 2 or 3 pieces of cod, lightly breaded and fried or baked, a choice of salad, and a choice of potato, risotto, or vegetable of the day. Their fish fry is available on Fridays only.  Incidentally, the Getaway also serves Grouper, Walleye, and Halibut…although those are items on the. menu and not a part of the fish fry.

In Wisconsin, it should be noted that old attendees and devoted fans of fish fries on Friday nights are critical of fry presentations that don’t have Perch as a part of them.  With the cost of Perch running right at twenty-four dollars a pound at Daniels it is understandable, however, why most restaurants and supper clubs have gone away from serving Perch on an ‘all you can eat’ basis.
