The lagoon boat slip renters are displaced in yet another boat season.
The city council discussed the issue at last week’s meeting. Lake Geneva Harbor Master Eric Nicia shared some details regarding the potential wavier for lagoon slip renters season boat launch passes. The piers, harbor, and lakefront committee recommended approval to offer a one-time courtesy season boat launch pass to the displaced lessees due to the lagoon slips removal. The pass is good at the Lake Geneva boat Launch at a value of $100 to $110 dollars.

The pass is only good for the lessees that have not been placed at a buoy or a different slip on the lake. This was informally offered to the affected lagoon slip renters last year and less than a handful of displaced renters took advantage of the offer.  In actuality, launching from trailers is a far cry and poor stepsister to having a boat ready to go in a slip, and the slip occupiers know that.
