OUR PLACE
Pearce’s Farm Stand, located on Walworth Road in Walworth, has Fall fun every day.
Pearce’s is a local favorite and a visitor destination, and the Pearces appreciate each and every one of its patrons. Every year the farm stand holds an annual event to thank loyal customers. Customer Appreciation Day will be on Saturday and Sunday, September 19th and 20th. There will be live music and dancing, and free cooked sweet corn on Sunday.
The farm stand grounds are filled with hay bales, corn stalks, photo ops, and of course pumpkins. Pearce’s is a favorite stop for so many, but fall is when it really shows its vibrant colors in a plethora of fall veggies and flowers. The corn maze is an event in itself and very popular. Make sure to stop in to pick up some pumpkins, mums, produce, and soak in the season before it closes for the season.
New this year is Downtown Lake Geneva’s Pre-fest Beer Crawl.
Why wait until Saturday to celebrate Oktoberfest when you can start on Friday? Kick off Lake Geneva Oktoberfest a night early with the new Beer Crawl, which is a Friday night celebration of local brews, downtown shopping, great food, and plenty of Oktoberfest fun. Check-in starts Friday, October 9th, from 3- 5 p.m. at Geneva Tap House on Geneva Street.
Nearly 20 downtown businesses will stay open late and transform into Beer Crawl stops for the night. Make your way through downtown, sample locally made brews, shop along the way, grab a snack, and soak up the Oktoberfest atmosphere. Then, when the crawl ends at 8 PM, the night doesn’t have to. Head over to Geneva Tap House for the official Beer Crawl Afterparty!
The new ownership of the Mobile station is set on the north side of Interchange North in Lake Geneva.
These people are wonderful, and it’s like being greeted by family to go into the place. Kwik Trip is slick, fast, and efficient, but the warmth, care, and friendliness make the same kind of service so much more fun at the Mobil. Since almost all gas stations in and around Lake Geneva (except Williams Bay, where prices are usually ten cents cheaper) charge the same gas price, the extra benefit at Mobil is worth stopping by. Squeaky clean, neat, with a versatile car wash that really works and an independent sandwich shop attached, it’s hard to beat.
