The inauguration is over.
It wasn’t over by the time this newspaper had to go to print. No, there was still an expectation, on the morning before the event, that everything would go smoothly and the transfer of power, the most controversial of all time in America’s history, would go down peacefully and with some sense of dignity and honor. There is every likelihood that this will be the case, partially because the Trump portion of the republican party embarrassed itself so badly on the 6th of January that its very definition of being his ‘base’ is in danger of being lost for all time to come.
Left Jab, Right Cross is a new video show.
Every morning, around ten a.m., on the Geneva Shore Report Facebook site, and also on its main independent website, the GSR is going to offer a new video show, about half an hour in length, about what is going on politically from both sides of the polarized aisles today. Yes, you will get left and right, doing the truly American thing, arguing about what’s right, what’s good, what’s bad, and how it’s all going. The GSR decided it was about time that the newspaper, as well as the entire population of the United States, began a dialogue about what that population believes and why it believes what it believes. There is no attempt to determine real or fake news on the show, as logic, common sense, and (hopefully) a good judgment will rule. If the show is a success then callers will be solicited to enter the conversation, much like was done with the Fraser television show. Tune in and see what you think. You are not expected to like all of what is said, but you are expected to be entertained and be brought to thoughtful conclusions.
