LITTLE GEMS

Lake Geneva is all about the lake but that’s without a water ski team.
With everything revolving around the lake, and all the existent activities, it’s hard to believe that they’re located on or right near the lake’s edges. Currently, there’s only one ski show in Lake Geneva Southern Wakes United Water Ski Clubwith the Jaycees presenting The Wonder Lake Ski Team Water Ski Show at the Riviera Beach in Geneva Lake during Venetian Fest. But at least you don’t have to travel far to watch a great show. The Southern Wakes United Water Ski Show Team is right here in Walworth County and has free shows on Lauderdale Lake and Whitewater Lake almost every Friday and Saturday throughout the summer, and there are a couple of other shows at Turtle Lake and Babe Mann Park. Southern Wakes United is a merger of the Lauderdale Aqua Skiers and the Whitewater Lakes Sports Club and is made up of some very talented award-winning young and young-at-heart skiers. Southern Wakes United Way Shows are a little more travel to attend but well worth the drive. The Lauderdale Lakes shows and Whitewater shows are approximately twenty miles from Lake Geneva. Aquanaut Water shows at Lance Park is a little closer to Lake Geneva and another wonderful water team that has free shows throughout the summer. The Aquanauts perform every Wednesday and Saturday from Memorial Day through Labor Day at Lance Park on Lake Mary in Twin Lakes only 12 miles east of Lake Geneva. The team includes some very talented champion skiers. Both ski teams can be found on Facebook for more information on the days and times of shows. It doesn’t matter what team you go watch both are sure to entertain with their skill, tricks, daredevil jumps, human pyramids and so much more. Ski Shows are a great way to spend a summer afternoon or evening, and all come with a significant ‘wow’ factor for the whole family.
