The City of Lake Geneva Police Department is preparing for body cams in 2023.
The final budget for the police department has been prepared and submitted to the city, including the additional costs for the body cams. This includes the equipment, software, and a full-time records specialist, along with any other miscellaneous fees, such as training. With the three grants awarded, totaling around $83,000, the budget is expected to pass with no problem. Lieutenant Gritzner (about to become chief) has been great in researching ways to help cover these additional costs and he continues to find and apply for more grants.

Lieutenant Gritzner was given approval by the police and fire commission to establish a full-time records specialist eligibility list to prepare for the upcoming additional position. The police department is looking forward to the body cams, as they protect them and can give citizens more confidence in their police work.  These devices can also alert the department in case there’s a possible ‘bad apple’ in the mix. When Gritzner was asked about how many tickets the police department writes every month, he stated that the police department is not revenue driven but here to change behaviors which proves what a great department the city has.  He didn’t say how many tickets they write.

 LATE BREAKING ADDENDUM

The world’s largest rocket was launched toward the moon this morning at about one a.m.  There was not notice taken of this event in the mass media, as this rather tattered but glittery media of today only really cares about the machinations of the leaders or not leaders of the U.S. Senate and House.  Americans would care about this re-entry into meaningful discovery and adventure, but they don’t really get much of a chance to see or know anything.  The next big launch, as this first test of the Boeing rocket comes to an end, and the unmanned crew capsule returns to earth will be of the four times larger rocket to be launched in December ty SpaceX.  America is returning to space and looking toward the future, although the effort isn’t supported by the dweeb.
