LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

For a quarter century Judge Henry Sibbing has been the face of justice in Lake Geneva.  I became his colleague when I was elected Pleasant Prairie Municipal Judge ten years ago.  Judge Sibbing is a leader in his community and the judicial community, teaching other judges about the innovative ways he handles juvenile cases.  Skilled both as an attorney and therapist, Judge Sibbing is deeply committed in working with young people to keep them from graduating to the juvenile and criminal justice systems.  Being a municipal judge is more than deciding cases based on the facts and the law.  It is a commitment to community service, particularly as the only contact most people will ever have with police and the courts is when they get a ticket for a minor violation.  Judge Sibbing is the model that all municipal judges should aspire to be.

Yes, I am happy to be his friend but more important proud to be his colleague.  The people of Lake Geneva have been well-served by a man who has devoted much of his life into making the community a better place, cares deeply about the people who come before him and inspires his colleagues to excellence.   Richard Ginkowski, Municipal Judge, Pleasant Prairie
