THE BRIGHT SIDE
Gage Marine Rocks!
One of the true gems of Geneva Lake is this water-based and water-borne operation called Gage Marine, along with the lake’s premier lakeside restaurant located at the company’s headquarters in Williams Bay called Pier 290. The big celebration that’s going to be marked for Gage’s hundred and fiftieth anniversary is set to occur at the Riviera Pier Complex in downtown Lake Geneva on the 18th of May. It’s a private invitation only affair but it sure seems like it is going to be quite something. Gage is one of the main fixtures on Geneva Lake that makes it the premier lake in all of Wisconsin.
Lake Geneva is not the deepest nor the biggest but it sure sweeps in as the most ambient and visited of all other lakes in the state. Gage Marine is the best private boat operation in the state, and the biggest, by far, as well. With Black Point, the Yerkes Observatory, and Stone Manor (not to mention the Wrigley mansion and a few others lakeside) Gage Marine, with its Pier 290 lake restaurant, is one of Lake Geneva’s true wonders.
Lake Geneva House of Music, located just over the city line in the Town of Geneva on HWY H, is hosting another great event.
This event will go on Friday, May 19th, through the weekend, and concluding on Sunday May 21st. The weekend will include food, culture, and music. Two stages will be showcasing local, regional, and national performers. Vendors will be offering a variety of food, arts and crafts, and family fun activities. The House of Music is a great choice for many when it comes to performance-based music education. Watching the kids at the school perform and grow as they play at local events is great fun for so many residents.
