LITTLE GEMS

Luis’s Italian/Pizza place is now open for business.
This out of the way small wonder of a place is located at the intersection of Willow Road and South Lake Shore Drive.  The free Wi-Fi is running all the time at 399 down and 12 up (when we tested in early morning hours).  Seating for 39 inside, heat and air.  Breakfast is served from seven until eleven every day and the breakfast sandwich is $6.95 and terrific, while the burrito is $10.95 but well worth it.  What a great spot this newly rebuilt place occupies.  The place is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and doesn’t close until seven p.m.

There’s no bar but they do serve mixed drinks, wine, beer and, of course, coffee all day long.  On the first day of the soft opening (the formal opening will take place on Monday the 29th which is Memorial Day) the GSR staff ordered the breakfast sandwiches.  The Mexican slant to the Italian title of the place is a terrific one and the experience is more one of eating from a well-stocked and great product food truck.  The other thing is that they are fast, really fast.
