Another painful loss.
Former Utah State Aggies quarterback Jordan Love threw a pair of touchdown passes during the Week 7 game on Sunday between the Green Bay Packers and the Denver Broncos yet brought home another loss. After a tepid first half (Bronco’s nine points on three field goals, Packers were at zero), the Green Bay Packers rallied to take a late lead against the Denver Broncos, but Love was intercepted by the Denver defense after the two-minute warning and the Broncos were able to run out the clock. The late turnover capped another tough day for Love and the Packer’s offense, in a loss to a last-place Broncos team that entered Sunday with a 1-5 record. The loss drops the Packers to 2-4 and marks their third straight loss after a promising 2-1 start in Love’s first season as Green Bay’s starting quarterback.
Love’s now thrown 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions, and he leaves Sunday with a 57.5% completion rate on the season. Love finished the game 21/31 passing for 180 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He also ran the ball three times for 21 yards. Jordan took some really hard hits in those runs so the coach should consider his running minimized as Green Bay has only the former Penn State star (all-time leader in yards passed and passing completion percentage) and he’s only played one play in the NFL so far.
Not everyone is losing at football, however.
The Lake Geneva High School Badgers are undefeated this season and headed for the division playoffs. The Packers might think about calling on that team for a few pointers!
GO BADGERS!
