The Green Bay Packers season is over.
Fans are devastated to see the season end. The game began as close as it ended. It was only 7-6 at halftime, with the 49ers with the lead. It all shifted in the second half. Three lead changes were the result of three consecutive touchdowns by both teams. It was Jordan Love’s first interception that was the first sign of the Packers’ potential loss. While San Francisco couldn’t score seven on the turnover, it managed a field goal to make it a four-point game. With just three minutes remaining, a field goal ultimately sealed the deal. Anders Carlson just missed it from the 41. The 49ers responded with a go-ahead touchdown right before Love threw his second pick of the night to Dre Greenlaw once again.
This loss is different than the previous four with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. With Rodgers, each postseason failure felt like one more season closer to him leaving. With Jordan Love’s emergence and the youngest team in the NFL, the Packers now feel like they’re just getting started toward another run of greatness.
The Bucks have won 21 of the past 22 regular-season meetings with the Pistons, including the past nine matchups.
They completed a sweep of the four-game season series on Monday. All the Milwaukee starters scored in double figures. Giannis Antetokounmpo notched a triple-double with 31 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists and the visiting Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons for the second time in three days, 122-113, on Monday. Khris Middleton had 26 points and Damian Lillard, who tossed in a season-high 45 points in the Bucks’ 141-135 win on Saturday, added 17 points and eight assists.
Brook Lopez added 15 points and 11 rebounds, while Malik Beasley chipped in 13 points. Antetokounmpo and Middleton opened the second half with dunks, giving the Bucks a 62-56 lead with 11:30 left in the third quarter. The Pistons took a 109-107 lead in the final 5:52, but Milwaukee stepped up on defense, limiting the Pistons to just two scores the rest of the way to gain the win.
