SURPRISING STUFF

A local guy named Bob.
This man is the most accommodating, fair, honest, and servicing landlord in all of Walworth County.  He repairs things or replaces them in rental almost instantly at no charge. He’s very stingy about raising rents annually for his best renters.  Bob’s also a realtor, with a little slice of office next to the H&R Block office on Broad Street.  His attention to detail in his one-man operation is amazing, and his communication constantly with his clients would put a lot of the ‘big glass window’ realty offices to shame.

Bob Limosani is the man’s name, and you might know him only because his wife Amy runs the shipping emporium right across the street from his office.  She is part of the same strange world (unusual because the population of that ‘world’ is so small) he is a part of.  The management and staff of the GSR use Bob exclusively for all real estate needs (Homestead Realty, 262 745-9611) and then ship everything shippable, not walked over to the USPS office, just as exclusively.

The U.S. Post Office is nearly as terrific as Amy’s is but is so much larger that you never know who’s going to be working with you at any of the windows.    Find Bob, but not too many of you, as it’s nice to be able to call him or drop in and get his near-instant attention.  This article isn’t an ad for Bob or Amy, but merely recognition for jobs being very quietly well done in Lake Geneva.

Lake Geneva is always a great place to celebrate.
Start the St Patrick’s Day festivities early at Topsy Turvy Brewery. Saturday, March 16th, Big Al Wetzel Band will be at Topsy Turvy, offering traditional entertainment along with the bar and wait staff offering some great brews. If the weather continues to be spectacular everyone can bet on the party heading out to the patio.

On Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., enjoy St Patrick’s Day Brunch at the historic Baker House. Potential attendees can go online at bakerhouse1885.com to reserve a spot. Brunch is expected to be absolutely delicious and very authentic, with everything from eggs and potatoes, baked French toast, Baily’s Irish cream pancakes, prime rib, Shepard’s pie, corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy, Irish coffees, and bottomless mimosas.

After brunch, people can head over to Lake Geneva Zipline and Adventures on County Trunk H for the St. Patrick’s Day Adventure Crawl. Saturday, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., enjoy the great outdoors at the zipline.  Don’t forget to get your event passport head downtown and get stamps from at least four spots.  Bring that document back for a free Lake Geneva Zipline and Adventures merchandise gift.

On St. Patrick’s Day night, there will be St Patty celebrations at almost every restaurant and drinking establishment around Geneva Lake. The Thirsty Parrot in Como is having live music by the South of Mars Band. The fun will go late into the night wherever you end up celebrating.

Don’t forget to be safe, so get a driver or call Uber, and may the luck of the Irish be with you, and the wind always be at your back.

Happy St Patrick’s Day.
