The Milwaukee Bucks head to the playoffs.
The Milwaukee Bucks head into the NBA playoffs as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. With the stakes sky-high and the roster better on paper, the Bucks’ on-court execution left a lot to be desired by the fans and Orlando Magic alike. They were outmaneuvered, outplayed, and ultimately outscored. As the final buzzer sounded, they lost the game to Orlando and the potential to secure the second seed in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee ended in third place with a looming series against the Indiana Pacers whom they will face in the first round. Milwaukee lost four of its five games against the Pacers during the regular season and will now look to get revenge. Thankfully, the regular season is now a closed chapter for Milwaukee as they pivot to the postseason, an opportunity to redefine their 2023-24 story. A week lies ahead of Game One against the Pacers where a lot of work needs to be done to bring them back together as a team and the number one team, we know they are capable of. Their resolve and optimism have not wavered since River’s arrival so hopefully they bring their best against the Pacers. The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday, 11-5, to move to 10-3 on the season.

The surprising Brewers have now scored seven or more runs in six consecutive games for just the third time in franchise history.
In the win, Milwaukee had 15 hits, including home runs by Rhys Hoskins and Jake Bauers. Saturday’s win continues a recent stretch of dominant offense by Milwaukee. Yet, the Brewers are 10-3 right now and in first place in the division. On Sunday Corbin Burnes has his first start against his old team and on his second pitch against his old teammates Sunday, William Contreras, who caught hundreds of cutters from Burnes last season, jumped all over Burnes’ trademark pitch, sending it 420 feet out to dead center for a leadoff home run. Milwaukee made Burnes work for every strike and every out for five innings, peppering the bases with runners and mixing in hard contact with aggression on the bases. Burnes ultimately allowed three runs but held the Brewers to just 2 for 16 with runners on base. Sunday’s game ended with the Brewers losing 4-6 but did win the series.
