SURPRISING STUFF

Tom, over there at the ‘prison compound’ appearing department of public works is busy.
His assistant/secretary quit.  She indicated that she’d been made an offer to work at the job of her dreams.  There’s no question about her credibility in saying that but then, it’s hard to follow the number of people in such positions that haven’t quit through the years because they wanted to ‘spend more time with family.’

Tom’s a tough guy, a tough manager, and possesses a ‘rapier-like’ wit.  Not that that doesn’t make him an effective director of a public works department.  Tom hired a new person during this electoral modification election process, so nobody knows who she is or whether the position now becomes standard with a second chance set of body armor.  Sam, the new ‘parks whatever she is’ person reports Tom but, so far, doesn’t seem to have gotten out much into the field to familiarize herself with Hillmoor, the city’s ultimate giant park.

The Friends of Hillmoor, led by Mary Jo Fesenmaier, following her successful defense of office, was out there with about fifteen volunteers clearing and cutting back brush on the Hillmoor property so the place could finally open to the public.  Todd Krause has put the public opening at the very top of his very busy agenda and hopes to have the great plot of land open to the public by the 20th of April.

You go, Mary Jo and Todd!
