Valley of the Kings Sanctuary and Retreat needs your help.
This animal sanctuary and retreat is located at w7593 Town Hall Road in Sharon Wisconsin has been here for quite some time and would like to continue doing what they do. For over thirty years the Sanctuary has been dedicated to the rescue and refuge of abused, abandoned, and injured animals. The Valley of the Kings has been home to a diverse group of animals including farm animals, bears, wolves, lions, and tigers, all animals in need are welcome. The sanctuary is a volunteer-run facility and is dedicated to the animals it cares for. Right now, the Sanctuary is in urgent need more than ever before.
The Valley of the Kings Sanctuary is a 501c3 and relies on funding and donations. Funding is becoming less and less available and donations are coming in low. The sanctuary is facing the reality that it may not make it through the end of the year. Memberships are also available and help support the efforts of the Valley of the Kings.
Tours are available but times are limited due to staff shortages and top priority is focused on meeting the needs of the animals. Any help will be very appreciated, and the animals will thank you if you visit them (be careful about that with the tiger, however).
The Heart Collectors are coming on the 25th of August.
This Australian group is electronic, folk, rock and roll, and soul, all thrown into one. Their presentation is harder to describe than to experience. They are coming on the afternoon of the 24th of August to the Studio Winery located on Sheridan Springs Road on the north side of the city. You won’t be disappointed, and tickets are still available.
Place of the Week
Lakeland Animal Shelter on Highway 67 has an abundance of animals ready to be adopted. The front desk staff is absolutely fabulous.
