The Milwaukee Bucks.
Star player Giannis Antetokounmpo reached a career milestone. Giannis Antetokounmpo also made NBA history during the Hornets-Bucks game. The two-time MVP has had an incredible start to the 2024-25 season. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 12 points and two rebounds while shooting 5/6 from the field in his first 11 minutes of playing time. Antetokounmpo also made NBA history by becoming the 65th player to score 19,000 career points. Unfortunately, the Bucks are just 7-9 in their first 16 games. That said, the Eastern Conference has been so weak that they are the sixth seed. Antetokounmpo is just 29, so he will have an excellent chance to reach 30,000 career points or more by the end of his Hall of Fame career. He is in his 12th season (all with the Bucks) and has proven to be a loyal player and fan of Milwaukee. He lives locally and is raising his family as part of the local community. The Bucks will play their next game at home on Saturday against the Washington Wizards.

The Green Bay Packers.
The team (8-3) returned to Lambeau Field and defeated the San Francisco 49ers (5-6) Sunday, 38-10. The 49ers knocked the Packers out of the playoffs in 2019, 2021 and 2023. A year ago, Green Bay had San Francisco on the ropes, but blew a late lead and fell, 24-21, in the NFC Divisional playoffs. So, Sunday’s game certainly carried some extra motivation. Green Bay put together one of its finest first quarters of the year and led 10-0 after the opening 15 minutes. The Packers had eight first downs, while the 49ers didn’t have any. Green Bay racked up 126 total yards, while San Francisco had just eight. The Packers had 87 rushing yards, while the 49ers had just one. And Green Bay held the ball 12 minutes, 9 seconds to just 2:51 for San Francisco.

The Packers played extremely well on both sides of the ball, and the 49ers’ personnel losses were too much for them to overcome as Green Bay rolled to a 38-10 win. Jacobs had a sensational night against San Francisco, rushing for 106 yards on 26 carries while tying his career-high with three rushing touchdowns. In the first half alone, Jacobs had 19 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. He had runs of 18, 13 and 10 yards in the first half. Jacobs then added a pair of 1-yard TD runs in the second half. It was the last afternoon game for a while for the Packers as they began a stretch of four straight night games Thursday against the Miami Dolphins.
