SURPRISING STUFF

Mayoral Appointments for the Hillmoor Commission were approved.
This new commission is getting ready to begin. The appointees include Paula Poruban, Lowell Thompson, Larry Happ, Peggy Schneider, Kenneth Etten, Mark Davids, and Dan Getzen. All are Lake Geneva residents, and all are excited to get something going at the Hillmoor property. Michael Krajovic’s contract was approved as the Hillmoor project Coordinator Consultant. This contract is hopefully going to help bring some organization and action to create a plan for the property.

Once the commission is established and running hopefully ideas will be made into a plan and action visible to the patiently waiting residents will happen. The new appointees, some for the first time got to see the city council in action, and it was filled with just that. The meeting started with a request to amend the order of the agenda by moving the appointments to the end of the agenda as traditionally done and in compliance with the city ordinance. This got the council in a tizzy with requests to move different agenda items from one line to another. This chaos went on for a while before public comments could even get started. A public comment was made, adding to the entertainment by calling out the council’s circus show.
