East Troy is a short drive from Lake Geneva and sometimes this cute little village has some great events worth the drive.
The Humble Oak Folk School located at W2743 Friemoth Road in East Troy has a great event coming up soon. Youth Earth Days will be Friday, April 11, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. This is perfectly scheduled with Earth Day being ten days away on April 22, 2025.
This class is for kids aged 11 to 15 years old and is sure to be fun and educational. The day will be all about learning some old methods and crafts from long ago. The kids will connect with the outdoors, work with handmade bow drill sets and bring fire to life, learn cord and rope making, all from what the earth gives us.
This is an awesome experience for any kid and is scheduled perfectly for home school students. The class is open to anyone and fills up fast so set your spot now.
The materials fee is $10.00 and will be paid to the instructor at the beginning of the class. Humble Oak Folk School will provide snacks but students need to bring a lunch and water bottle. For more information go to the Humble Oak Folk School website at www.humbleoak.org.
