The 2025 NFL Draft is almost here! College football’s elite players are set to find their new homes in one of the league’s 32 franchises. You can watch the draft live on NFL Network, NFL+, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN Deportes. Tune in at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 24, to catch all the Day 1 draft action live. Coverage of Rounds 2-7 will be available in the subsequent days on the same platforms. This year’s draft will take place outside the historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay. Below are the dates and times for each day. Each draft is different, but all of them bring big surprises- some that pan out for the positive and some that don’t. In all, more than 250 players will be drafted over three days.
While details of the 2025 NFL Draft are still being finalized, the main portion of the event is expected to take place on the Lambeau Field and Titletown campus, with a variety of venues to be utilized within proximity to the stadium campus. The festivities will include several days of activities throughout Green Bay and will feature the NFL Draft Experience, a massive free football festival, near Lambeau Field to allow fans of all teams to enjoy games, interactive exhibits, player appearances, sponsoring experiences, youth-focused activities and opportunities for fans of all ages to test their football skills.
Speaking of the NFL draft, Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst may have dropped a small hint regarding how Green Bay will attack the 2025 NFL Draft, which is now just weeks away from being held at Lambeau Field. Gutekunst was asked about fourth-year linebacker pick Quay Walker, specifically whether it was feasible to extend the former first-round pick and keep him in Green Bay long term. His response revealed a fair bit about how the team views the state of their linebacker position. The GM said it was “absolutely” viable to keep Walker beyond his rookie deal, before explaining: “I think we played three linebackers more last year than I expected us to, and I also think in Jeff (Hafley)’s second year, with some of the creative thoughts he may have around playing multiple linebackers.”
The Milwaukee Bucks.
With the 2024-25 NBA regular season wrapping on April 13, the playoff picture will soon start to get clearer as teams book their postseason spots. The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Miami Heat and clinched a playoff spot for the ninth-straight season. The Bucks have been struggling a lot this season, but Giannis Antetokounmpo has done his best to keep the Bucks in the playoff picture. He finished the game with a triple-double and scored 36 points, grabbed 15 boards, and dished out 10 assists, on 62% shooting from the field, to defeat the Heat on overtime. Kevin Porter Jr., who was acquired from the L.A. Clippers for MarJon Beauchamp, found his rhythm in this game and contributed 24 points on 8-16 shooting from the field. The Bucks have now, once again, taken back the 5th seed in the East, and if the season were to finish today, they would play the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the postseason.
The Bucks will look to avoid another early exit and two consecutive first-round losses after guaranteeing a spot in the playoffs. But the team remains a model of postseason consistency with nine straight appearances (including the 2022 championship). The Bucks had to overcome some early inconsistencies that raised some questions about their status as title contenders. After starting the season with a 2-8 record, Milwaukee found its stride with 12 wins in its next 15 outings on its way to defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder to win the NBA In-Season Tournament championship.
The Milwaukee Brewers.
The Milwaukee Brewers cruised to a second consecutive division title in 2024 but showed up to camp this spring as the underdogs in the National League Central yet again. This is partly due to their challenges with the pitching staff. Following a quiet offseason, the Brewers are projected by oddsmakers to finish second in the division with an over/under win total of 83.5 games. The Milwaukee Brewers entered Sunday with a 4-5 record, which is miraculous given the state of their pitching staff. The Brewers are currently without no less than six starting pitchers: Brandon Woodruff, Jose Quintana, Tobias Myers, DL Hall, Aaron Ashby, and Aaron Civale. This has led reigning National League Manager of the Year Pat Murphy to turn to guys like Connor Thomas, Chad Patrick, Tyler Alexander, and Elvin Rodriguez, and the results have been a mixed bag.
Milwaukee must stay afloat somewhere in the realm of .500 until some of their starters return to the rotation. Brice Turang hit a two-run homer, Tyler Alexander struck out six in 5 2/3 hitless innings for his first victory of the season, and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 on Friday night. Milwaukee has won four straight following a 0-4 start, the first team to do so since the 2021 Atlanta Braves. Milwaukee left fielder Jackson Chourio, who went 0 for 5 with five strikeouts on Opening Day, has hit safely in seven consecutive games. So, no, the Brewers won’t be without a win this season.
