The Milwaukee Bucks.
The Milwaukee Bucks have a checklist this offseason, and it’s a long one. General Manager Jon Horst is heading into a pivotal offseason filled with roster questions and financial implications. Not included are the statuses of Doc Rivers or two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. Both are under contract for the 2025–26 season, and unless something drastic happens, those situations won’t change just yet. After making $12.6 million this past season, Portis holds a $13.5 million player option for 2025–26. Time will tell if he takes the money or tests the waters elsewhere next season. In 30 games with Milwaukee, Porter Jr. has averaged 11.3 points per game on above-average efficiency. After beginning the year shooting 24.% % from long range with the Clippers, he shot over 40% from long distance in a Bucks uniform. Porter Jr. had six 20-point performances for the team, multiple double-doubles, and even a 10-11-14 triple-double against the Dallas Mavericks on March 3rd. He has shown he can be a good rebounder, run some point guard, and get numbers in the scoring column.
With a player-option for next season, Porter Jr. has the chance to opt in to a 2.5 million base salary for next year. While it is unclear on whether or not Porter Jr. will want to stay, it would make a lot of sense for him to do so, given how much playing time he is likely to get. Connaughton logged only 41 games, his fewest since year two, but he holds a $9.4 million option for next season. That kind of guaranteed money is tough to pass up, especially considering his limited market value. Prince started 73 games, but the end of the road might be near. His defense has dipped, and with limited shot creation and explosiveness, Milwaukee may look elsewhere for fresh legs and more upside.A mobile big who fits modern defensive schemes, Sims has intriguing tools. But his lack of shooting chops clogs up the lane, and his future in Milwaukee may hinge directly on whether Brook Lopez returns or retires.
The Milwaukee Brewers.

Pop-Up Shops during the 2025 season will be located on the Loge Level near the press box. Tickets for this highly anticipated Theme Night are selling quickly. Special Theme Night tickets are still available at brewers.com/ThemeNights. The 2025 season has been tarnished by a battered pitching rotation, which might have Milwaukee contemplating a risky trade. Normally, the budget-conscious Brewers avoid blockbuster trades, preferring to develop homegrown talent or make smaller deals. However, the Chicago Cubs’ emergence as a legitimate threat to dethrone Milwaukee in the NL Central changes things. Milwaukee is 19-19 on the season so far. he Brewers likely would prefer to have a better record right now, but Milwaukee is just three games back of the Chicago Cubs for the top spot in the division despite having their entire starting rotation injured, or recovering from injuries, at one point aside from Freddy Peralta.
One player who has gotten some flak is infielder Vinny Capra. He was one of the best overall players in Spring Training and earned a spot on the big league roster out of camp. He had no buzz going into Spring Training at all, but his performance earned him a spot. Things haven’t panned out, though. He’s appeared in 24 games so far this season and is slashing .074/.121/.130 with one homer and four RBIs. Recently, Caleb Durbin was called up to take over third base duties. FanSided’s Tremayne Person weighed in on Capra and said Milwaukee should cut ties with him. It’s a pretty fair idea, but hopefully, Capra can turn things around.
The Green Bay Packers. According to Dave Taylor, the Packers are expected to offer a contract to former Wilfrid Laurier quarterback Taylor Elgersma. Green Bay held a pre-draft visit with Elgersma, who impressed last season by completing 73.8% of his passes for 4,252 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions with the Golden Hawks. Taylor is Canadian, a country not thinking too highly of the U.S. just now. He is also Caucasian, although that may have nothing at all to do with his being selected to become Love’s backup. The question is, will he get the opportunity to play all, as both Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers kept their backup quarterbacks in suspended animation the entire time they played for the Packers?
