Annual Pork Chop Cookout
The Walworth County Fairgrounds in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, will host their annual Pork Chop Cookout on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will take place in the Activity Center, and attendees can dine in or use the drive-thru. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Proceeds from the event will benefit New North Hall Park. The meal includes two boneless pork chops, baked potato, applesauce, coleslaw, rye bread, sour cream, and butter. The Fair Board President and his grill team also offer seasoned frozen pork chops for purchase. In addition to the meal, the cookout will also feature honey ice cream, honey lemonade, and Pollinator Week trivia.

These guys are sure not the Smothers Brothers.
What’s going on in our newest nearby town of interest?  That would be Hebron.  The two brothers who operate the Trump store there have decided that they will take down their Confederate flag sign sitting on their lot in the middle of town at the only major intersection (Highway 173 and 47).  Although both men are avowed Trump supporters and advocates, they are also understanding and agreeable men.

Their Trump-inspired and oddly mismarked American flags are fine. Expressions of free speech, but the confederate sign sends a signal to the public that racism might live and breathe in the Hebron community, and that simply is not true. The Trump store near that intersection has a lot more than Trump-related items for sale, and it’s a place where people might gather to not only talk to the very interesting brothers but also to buy some of their well-priced stuff.
