Summer is winding down, and fall fun is right around the corner.
The Fall Wine Walk is in the works. Save the date for November 2, 2025, for the Fall Wine Walk. The Downtown Spring Wine Walk was a sold-out event from the start, so it was only obvious to add a second wine walk to the annual calendar.
The Business Improvement District, A.K.A. Downtown Lake Geneva, hosts both walks. Fall in Lake Geneva is a special time of year, and the Fall Wine Walk makes it that much better. Participants will enjoy sipping different wines throughout the downtown while getting a start on holiday shopping. This is a great way to enjoy time with friends and family and ignite your holiday spirit. If you are planning on participating in the walk, tickets sell out fast, so don’t wait to get yours. Tickets go on sale in October, so keep an eye on the downtown Lake Geneva Facebook page.
It’s been five years since the University of Chicago entrusted Yerkes Observatory to the Yerkes Future Foundation.
In the last five years, this beloved scientific landmark has entered a new era of being restored, reimagined, and reopened to the public. All with the help of support from the local communities and residents. To celebrate this momentous event, Yerkes is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, September 13th, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Tickets will include food, drinks, entertainment, exclusive access to the historic Observatory, interactive games, a raffle, and more! Cocktail attire is encouraged, and cosmically inspired fashion is welcomed. Also, remember to wear comfortable shoes as you will be exploring the grounds and observatory. While the event will be held at Yerkes Observatory, there will not be parking on-site.
Attendees must park at Williams Bay School (500 West Geneva Street in Williams Bay) and board an accessible trolley that will run a continuous shuttle between the school and observatory during the event. Only ticket holders will be admitted on the trolleys. Tickets can be purchased on the Yerkes Observatory website.
