LIVING HERE
Red Bull is a very popular energy drink, and it’s bringing some of that energy to Lake Geneva.
The Lake Geneva Mail Boat Jumpers are great fun to watch, and mail delivery by boat is a charming tradition around Geneva Lake. Red Bull is turning it up a notch and making it a competitive foot race. This is a free public event. The Red Bull Rush Delivery event will take place on September 20th at the Riviera Beach. Temporary piers will be used for the challenge, making viewing great from the beach. Most of the event will take place out on the water, but Red Bull has put thought and care into how to handle crowd control, clean up and has communicated with the city and service departments to make this a safe and fun event.
Seating is open to everyone, so you might want to get your spot early. Doors will open at 11 a.m. At noon, qualifying rounds will begin. Final rounds will start at 3 p.m. Participants in this high-energy competition must be 18 years or older. Red Bull is not new to events just like this all over the world, and Lake Geneva is excited to be added to the list. Red Bull is putting a twist on this mail delivery tradition and bringing the Red Bull Air Force Skydiving Team with them. The team will be landing in Library Park in Red Bull fashion, so yes, there is expected to be some great stunts involved.
For the fall fanatics, we get our first preview of the autumn season starting this week. This week brings the coolest temps we’ve seen since June. Fall is in the air as the average temperature for the next week will be in the upper 60s with lows in the 40s and 50s. Our average temperature this time of year is 80. Overall, fall-like temperatures and dry weather this week will be great for the Walworth County Fair and all those outdoor activities. Make sure to enjoy the pleasant forecast!
