OUR PLACE

The last Antique Flea Market of the season is on Sunday, September 28th, at the Walworth County Fairgrounds.
The market features over 500 dealers from all over the Midwest. You could easily spend the day and not see even half of it. You can expect a long line of anxious vintage hunters waiting to be among the first allowed into the market. Even with the $5 entrance fee.

The Elkhorn Antique Flea Market is one of the largest and most popular in the state. Most of the flea market booths are outdoors, while some are in buildings, so prepare for a full day of walking and shopping. A mishmash of setups (booths, stalls, and tables) with some vendors putting effort into their displays, some don’t, but all have marvelous treasures just waiting to be found. Bring a collapsible wagon. You never know what (or how much) you’ll want to buy, and freeing your arms will make the experience more pleasant.

Take cash! It’s needed to enter the gate. Plus, it might get you a better deal with a seller than Venmo or PayPal. Stop by late in the day to try scoring a deal. Vendors may be more open to haggling if it means less to bring home. The market is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Big Bundle Up is back.
It’s fall, and the cold weather is approaching fast. With that, the initiative to keep everyone warm has started. This annual charity drive collects new and gently used winter clothing, including coats, hats, mittens, and more, and shares them with those in need. The Big Bundle Up was initially started by Travel Wisconsin, but as of 2020, it ended.

The need, however, did not end, and so many communities, businesses, and tourism bureaus continued the tradition. Visit Lake Geneva is one of those, and has Bundle Up Bins placed around Lake Geneva in different businesses. Summer Moon Coffee is one, and the bin is ready to be filled. Keeping everyone warm during a Wisconsin winter is a group effort, so if you are able, any donations are very appreciated.
