Selling your life insurance policy.
There’s a rage that has set in to sell your life insurance policy before you die. The ads on television are endless, although not as prolific as those for all kinds of drugs you’ve never heard of, and have small print side effects like depression, skin eruptions, and even death. The ads indicate and advertise how old people who have big life policies they’ve paid fortunes for over the years can be cashed in for a lesser settlement while they are still alive, and the old couple or individual can then go and stay at wonderful resorts, etc.
What’s the problem, other than there may be no money for your survivors to take care of your remains, the service, or even help those in the family who may have totally depended upon your services while you were alive? This practice, of others, whether individuals or companies, buying beneficiary status on your policy, was outlawed for a century. Why? Because if you ‘sell’ your policy for an early payout, then you are taking on a beneficiary that has every reason to hasten your death as much as possible!
So far, no police entity has investigated the deaths of those who’ve done this. The companies, with vested interests in you dying pretty quickly, have every reason to be suspected if you do die. Why is no one discussing this, and why is no one going back to why this practice was banned in the first place? Go ahead, sell your policy. You may very well be unknowingly hiring your own hit man to take your life, so to speak. Like, you didn’t make enough enemies along the way?
