The Milwaukee Brewers.
The team is making a highly anticipated move involving one of the team’s top pitching prospects. Logan Henderson looked great through six strong innings, but Milwaukee couldn’t complete the sweep of the Nationals as a ninth-inning rally fell just short in Sunday’s series finale. Right-handed pitcher Logan Henderson, Milwaukee’s No. 6 prospect for 2026 has been called up to the big leagues and started for the Brewers on Sunday.
This promotion comes a few days after two-time All-Star pitcher Brandon Woodruff was placed on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. The veteran was forced to exit his most recent start in the second inning after demonstrating significantly decreased fastball velocity. Henderson made one start for the Brewers earlier this year, throwing two innings against the Kansas City Royals on April 4.
The Brewers’ young hurler has been dominating Triple-A hitters so far in 2026. Henderson has posted a 1.02 ERA in five appearances for the Triple-A Nashville Sounds, striking out 26 batters in 17 2/3 innings. On Sunday, Henderson struck out eight in all – one shy of his career high – and otherwise defined efficiency in what turned out to be his longest outing of the season by one inning and nine pitches. Logan Henderson allowed two runs over six innings and struck out eight in his second start of the season for Milwaukee. Henderson’s bid for perfection ended in the fifth when CJ Abrams led off with a ground ball to first. Jake Bauers made a nice play, but Henderson slipped on his way over to cover the bag, allowing Abrams to reach safely. Daylen Lile struck out on a foul tip for the first out, but Abrams promptly stole second to give Washington its first runner in scoring position.
Milwaukee went down in order in the sixth, seventh, and eighth before finally showing signs of life in the ninth. William Contreras grounded out to start the inning, but Gary Sánchez singled to bring the tying run — Jake Bauers — to the plate. Bauers hit a single to right to advance Blake Perkins (running for Sánchez) to third. The biggest positive from Sunday’s game was Henderson.
The Milwaukee Bucks.
The team officially named Taylor Jenkins as the team’s new head coach. Jenkins most recently spent six seasons (2019-25) as head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies and concluded his tenure with a 250-214 (.539) record. His teams reached the playoffs in four of those campaigns and tied a franchise record with 56 wins in the 2021-22 season when he finished as runner-up in the NBA Coach of the Year award balloting. Jenkins is a familiar face to the Bucks organization. He served as a Bucks assistant in 2018-19 under Mike Budenholzer, before taking the Memphis Grizzlies’ head coaching job the following year. Jenkins’ familiarity with Antetokounmpo gives him a head start in understanding how to build an offense and defense around the six-time All-NBA forward. His experience overseeing a rebuild in Memphis is also nice to have, should ownership and Giannis not come to terms on an extension. The Bucks head into the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery, as well, hoping for a high draft pick to help bolster next season’s roster. Jenkins, 41, becomes the 19th head coach in Bucks history.
The Green Bay Packers.
The Packers brought in Jonathan Gannon to be the team’s new defensive coordinator. Gannon comes right out of the gate and wants to transform the team into a “fast, violent, and physical” team. Who is this man, and where did he come from? He played three sports in high school and was a great athlete in all three venues. He went to college and played football for one season, but a hip injury sidelined him, and he never returned to active play. Now, this same guy wants the Packers to go out on the field, week after week, and do what he could not sustain doing? This man could not or would not return to combat, and it sounds a whole lot like many in the leadership positions of the United States today. Hegseth, Trump, and General Caine, all serving but not serving seriously, but wanting violence, speed, and physicality from those beneath them. The Packers are about to ‘Inherit the Wind’ and are likely to prove that the fantasy sports online club that declares them to be the most hated team in the NFL is accurately correct.
