We have nothing to date on stipends. Speedo applied in writing, citing the FOIA rules, but got a very clever response to drive him off. The school boards want $2700 up front to give out the information. Meanwhile, the GSR has stayed on it, underground and avoiding the FOIA route and the exorbitant charges.
The stipends are real and being paid. Most of them go to administrators and only a few to teachers. Amazingly, some stipends are going to administrators who are no longer employed by the districts! We have not found out names or amounts yet, or how the money is disbursed, because those numbers are not included in the budget. We want you to know.
Who is getting them. Who has gotten them. How much have they been or are. Why are the boards not signing off on these as required? Why will the superintendent not come clean about them, instead putting in for another referendum for more money in the next election period? The answer to that is going to be a solid “NO” by the community until the finances are made clearer and all the data is produced. The GSR has supported all the school referendums in the past, but that is ending unless the schools confess to what is going on.
