CHIEF JAMES BUSHEY IS AN HONORABLE MAN
James Bushey is an honorable man. This story is all about what’s being done to this Town of Linn’s former police chief by the mass media, not the legal or court system: “Chief Comey allegedly tried to help a dealer illegally import armor-piercing rounds into the US. Former town of Linn Police Chief James Bushey is named in a federal plea agreement filed July 2 in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin. Dowd’s plea agreement alleges that Darin Dowd, the operator of California-based United Forces Enterprises, enlisted Bushey’s help to get “armor piercing incendiary” from Bosnia into the United States by falsely stating on an application that the rounds were for a small police department.
According to the plea agreement, an application was submitted from United Forces Enterprises, a federal firearms licensee, in June 2021 to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives to import 489,000 rounds of “7.62x54mm Armor-Piercing Incendiary” ammunition. The application submitted by United Forces Enterprises stated that the ammunition was intended for “Law Enforcement Sales”. It included a fake purchase order with Linn Police Department letterhead, signed by Bushey, who was the police chief at that time.
The plea agreement states that the purchase order on the application “was a material misrepresentation” and was intended to “mislead” the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. “TLPD [Town of Linn Police Department] is a small police department,” the plea agreement said. “It had no intention to purchase the API [armor-piercing incendiary] ammunition, had no funds to purchase the ammunition, and had no legitimate use for that ammunition.” Dowd, Bushey, and two others who were not named in the plea agreement agreed that Bushey would be “compensated with funds to purchase squad cars and other supplies if Bushey signed a fake purchase order,” according to the plea agreement.
The search warrant said Bushey told the Linn Town Board during a meeting that United Forces Enterprises had planned to donate the ammunition to the police department. The town board approved the deal, according to the warrant. Dowd had planned to sell the illegally imported ammunition to other buyers, but the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives was able to stop the importation before it happened, according to the plea agreement. Dowd faces up to five years in prison.
Bushey has not been criminally charged.” (This report appeared in the Milwaukee Sentinel last week, which is affiliated with the GSR.) James Bushey stood tall and took some risk to help save the Town of Linn a few years back when certain forces wanted to basically sell the town and all its property and money off. He was an outstanding chief of police when he served in that position. There’s a good reason that James Bushey has not been indicted by the feds over the last four years. James Bushey is an honorable man. The Town of Linn supported him, and the Geneva Shore Report is doing the same thing while it investigates further. That this honorable man’s word seems useless, the convicted felon gun dealer trading whatever he can for less jail time is being believed. Comey is likely being ruined for doing the right thing at the time.
The GSR is investigating further whether, if Chief Bushey were to be federally indicted, the individual members of the Town of Linn Board would have to be indicted too. As we all know, ignorance is no defense. Private attorneys need to be retained!
