AMERICA, PUNCHED IN THE WALLET!

Gasoline prices rise to new and punishing heights.  Lake Geneva, like almost all other American cities and towns, is being held hostage by an oil industry that is not only monopolized quite legally but also bankrupt morally.  These new gasoline rip-off prices have nothing to do with the war in Ukraine (as often alleged by the mass media, driven by the oil magnates), nothing to do with supply (there’s now plenty of oil), and everything to do with attempting to influence the coming mid-term elections so that the likes of the awful, even horrid, right-wing representatives and senators can replace leadership in both of those bodies of political power.

Meanwhile, the nation suffers and suffers terribly, particularly in the parts where there are so many people, not making much money, who have to get back and forth to work.  There has never been a better time to go electric and get the oil investors and owners out of the business…which includes not letting them into the electric automobile side.   Shell Oil and Saudi Arabia both recently indicated that their profits from the sale of oil are at all-time record highs.  When is mainstream America going to stop taking this kind of pump-delivered liquid crap?

But this is not all that Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and most of the nation is going through.  Oh no!  Check out meat prices at Wal-Mart, Piggly Wiggly, Sentry, and more, when it comes to groceries.  $17.99 a pound seems to be the ‘fair-traded’ price for any kind of decent cut of steak or roast.  How about most fish, even supposedly ‘local and wild caught’ perch coming in at $29.95?  Lobster is $79.00 a pound.  These prices are fixed, and they are fixed like the gasoline prices, with the few producers of these products have gotten together because interstate commerce protections are all gone.  Gone during the republican control times. Now, the producers can get together and charge what they want, and that’s what they are doing.

There are only five meat processing plants in the United States, and they have come together to ‘fair-trade’ sales to the population.  Except there is no fair trade.  These companies are profiting now like never before in food or energy history.  Why won’t they stop doing what they are doing? Because there’s nobody left to stop them.  Is Elizabeth Warren, with her small, underfunded staff, to stop them?  Nope.  The November elections are not going to be held for another five and a half months.  These republican purveyors of socialism, communism and even pedophilia about the opposition are not only reading from a fictional script but have sold out to a rabid commercial and downright killing evil form of capitalism.

How did it all become political?  This happened because of the Internet.   This is why someone as brilliant (albeit partially damaged) person such as Elon Musk wants to purchase Twitter.  It’s not because he wants a bigger voice.  You can’t get a bigger audience than you can grow by being the richest man in the world.  No, this brilliant man very clearly sees the future.  Without social media, there is little or no real or verifiable communication. Nobody, not even the creators of social media empires like Instagram and Facebook, had any idea that their sites would end up being the prime communication channels for all mankind.  These channels should all be shouting, at the top of their proverbial lungs: “Danger, Will Robinson, danger.”  That line, delivered by a robot in the fictional series called Lost in Space somehow has full applicability today.

America is being robbed by internal thieves and evil con men and women.  It is the lack of discussion about that which may well allow the decline of the American dream.   On Monday of this week, republicans killed a bill that would have mandated a lowering of and freeze on gasoline prices nationwide.  The republicans on that energy committee killing that bill stated that the body of the bill was a form of socialism and those price gougers were part of a free American system of capitalism.  Is there any wonder why more violence is coming to the USA?
