You may not agree, know of it, or even care just yet, but the leader of this still wonderful country was just handed a dish served cold by the American public. Across this land, republicans, democrats and independents gathered in polling places and voted in the most democratic slate of senators and representatives in all of modern political history. Both the House and the Senate are about to be both solidly democratic controlled.
Just as the House and the Senate in Wisconsin have fallen to democratic control. Brian Steil went down to Mitchell Berman, and Tom Tiffany failed in this bid to become the republican governor. David Crowly becomes the state’s first black governor. The district attorney also returned as a Democrat, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court is controlled by Democrats, who hold the majority.
The republicans made a huge mistake in making the only plank in their plan for the nation to be Donald Trump, oh, and an illegal plan to pay every American voter who returned the House and Senate to republican control a check for five thousand dollars. It is patently illegal to pay people to vote in this country, as the other monstrous loser by the name of Elon Musk found out when he tried that right here in Wisconsin.
We can all look forward to a new push to create some sort of practical and affordable medical plan for all Americans, if the democrats are going to keep their word and can get past the Veto-man Donald Trump, who has never been a fan of health care for just about anyone. We can all look forward to the end of the war in Iran, as these new bodies of government will certainly, when they are seated in January, vote to apply and enforce the War Powers Act that allows only the House of Representatives to declare war on another country. Quite possible, or it may take Trump leaving office, for this new crop of leadership to begin repairing the awful damage done to Canada by this current leadership, and Greenland, and Mexico, and Venezuela, and more.
Maybe, just maybe, these new 24-billion-dollar idiotic battleships can be cancelled, and the money be spent back on the people, as God knows that the infrastructure needs it badly almost everywhere. No more billions going, again, quite illegally, to Trump or his family for personal enrichment? How about ceasing work and returning the White House and Washington D.C. back to the traditional decor and beauty that the gilded lily of man has tried so expensively to change. The list just goes on. The Geneva Shore, in front pages and opinion/editorials, has been writing about this nightmare, soon to be over or at least brought to a full stop, for several years, as that man came in and basically destroyed so much.
How many thousands of children starved without USAID? How many of those deported to poor countries and left in an entire country they cannot speak the language of, nor are left with any money at all, are still alive? Nobody seems to care. But if these indications are correct, America cares. This is more than about expensive gas and diesel fuels. How about the oil companies using our own free economic system to make the greatest profits in their history by lying about the Straits of Hormuz slowing the flow of our oil? The U.S. hasn’t received, now or for years, any of the oil going through those straits. It was a ruse just to take America’s money.
