Letter to the Editor
In reference to your lead page article in Issue 40, July 18th, 2018. While Mormons, or members of the Church of Latter Day Saints, did allow more than one wife up until the later parts of the nineteenth century, I have never, as a life-long follower of its doctrines heard of anyone that has allowed that since then (or approves of it).
We have only one wife and regret the earlier permission that was granted to have more than that. You can’t revoke history, but I would never talk to anyone that allowed it or remain in the Church if it was practiced again.
It doesn’t happen.
