LETTER TO THE EDITOR
So, today I volunteered at the LG food pantry and parked on the street as we were told. My Lake Geneva Lake Life ,Downtown Lake Geneva, Todd Krause Mayor of Lake Geneva parking sticker is valid and up to date, ( my shift was from 8-11:30). After being home for an hour I felt like I needed a delicious salad from House Of Bogini.
When leaving ( 2 hours TOPS) I noticed a ticket on my window. At that, I took my ticket to City Hall and was told that I get 3 hours TOPS not per stop! So, I then explained to her that I was volunteering at the food pantry. She just shrugged and mentioned the 3-hour limit.
$30 was given to City Hall.
As I left, I mentioned that this was as good as when we got a ticket for not shoveling snow, because my husband was dying of cancer. Good job Lake Geneva! Been here 30 years! Doing business and volunteering in our town- was it worth the $30?!? That $30 could have gone to another downtown business.
