LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Your “news” operation is despicable. In relation to your last story about “Lake Geneva must act” – first of all, yep, no one likes tourists – but hey, you live in a tourist town so get used to it or get out. Second and third: You obviously don’t understand economics because the revenue from the (albeit annoying) tourist is what is keeping those small businesses alive. And do you have an editor who can spell and use grammar properly (or understand logic)?

Editor’s note:  Perhaps, if writing to a newspaper about accuracy, grammar, and spelling, quite possibly you might want to edit your own work better than was done for this communication.

Thank you for running the story and for public awareness.

It is interesting in that last year issues arose in the lagoon regarding debris and weeds. Logically, one would assume to PLAN effective solutions in the offseason. Perhaps doing it in the prime boating season makes more sense (insert sarcasm). I am a full-time resident of Lake Geneva & appreciate your efforts.

Side note: I have advocated to the Harbormaster and City Administrator for a full or prorated refund.

My friend and I are going to purchase all you the publisher’s books from Amazon, and then hold a block party to burn them.  This liberal rag has to be done away with somehow, as it runs completely against everything the people who live in the area stand for.–

Tad Viallmo, (anonymously sent but identity and location found on the Internet) living in St. Charles, Illinois.

Editor’s note:  The publisher of the GSR was a friend to Ray Bradbury in his declining years.  Ray would stand aghast, if he were living, not at the burning of the publisher’s novels but at the burning of books under any circumstances. The publisher has nine published novels.  He makes six bucks for every novel sold. So, what the heck, that’s at least fifty-four bucks!

Whoever writes this article lives in a basement and every time writes the same complaint of tourists this is a resort town!!!! Geez get over it the tourist are going to come; we need them here in the last 6 years my taxes have almost double it is from all the development of homes with no business they will close if we do not have Tourism!!!!! Life goes on if you want no tourist move to Chicago.

Jan Ferriter. Illinois Resident

Editor’s note:  The GSR is, indeed, printed and published from down in a deep cold basement, and the windows above, up on the first floor, are all bullet resistant.  The GSR is no ordinary media outlet.
