LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Just wanted to thank you for putting that piece in your paper about the Medicare ads on TV. I just hate them to point where every time one comes on, I mute it. I also email the channel or station to complain about the lies the ads are spreading. This would be to the likes of Channel 12 and CNN, not that it does any good. I also complain to our elected officials but that does no good either. I also read in your paper about the ‘ribs’ you’ve been writing about. You forgot the great ribs at Mars restaurant. Also, there’s Saz’s Ribs available in the frozen section at the Pig. They’re next to the brats. They are so tender and sweet. Those are from Saz’s in Milwaukee, but you don’t have to travel so far.

Ed: The New York Times investigated these ‘private’ forms of Medicare Part B (where they get you to sign away your Medicare for their supposed coverage) and concluded that these private companies pay less than 20% of claims filed. Medicare Part B, on the other hand, pays 96% of its submitted claims, and does not lie to you about vision or dental care you are not going to get from the private companies either.
