LITTLE GEMS
According to a news release at 4:21am on April 16, 2025, the Lake Geneva Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a structure fire at W2550 Springfield Road in the Town of Geneva.
En route, the City of Lake Geneva Police Department Communications Center upgraded the alarm to a structure fire response. The alarm upgrade brought additional units from the Town of Delavan, the Town of Lyons, and the Elkhorn Fire Departments. Engine 281 arrived on scene within 6 minutes from the time of dispatch and reported a two-story triplex dwelling with smoke and flames showing. Engine 281 and Med 281 simultaneously began a fire attack and clearing of the units of occupants.
All occupants had exited the structure and were accounted for. Engine 281 had water on the fire within 2 minutes of their arrival, bringing the fire under control. The fire was declared out at 4:49 am. The cause is under investigation. No criminal activity is suspected. No injuries were reported.
