Lake Geneva schools are getting ready for the start of the 2022/2023 school year.
Many parents have already started prepping for the fall. taking advantage of the back-to-school sales that have been popping up at all the stores. The bitter-sweet reality, that another summer is ending, and another fall season is looming on the horizon, is beginning to set in. Get ready for crisp mornings filled with a flurry of parents getting students where they need to be. The school buses will be en route, picking up and dropping off, constantly stopping traffic to protect the children. Safety is always a concern when it comes to going back to school.
Drivers need to be extra vigilant, as students will be walking everywhere, crossing streets, and riding bikes along with boarding and departing from buses. Mark the calendar for two weeks from now. Thursday, September 1st, grades K through 9th will start the new school year. On Friday, September 2nd, grades 10 through 12 will begin. Tuesday, September 6, 4-year-old K begins, and the little children going to preschool start on Monday, September 12.
Pearce’s Farm Stand presents its Annual Classic Car & Tractor Show.
The show will go on this Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 11 a.m. through 3 p.m. Come enjoy a day at the farm stand. In addition to all the great stuff Pearce’s Farm Stand offers every day, there will be cars and tractors galore. The show will include antique and modern cars, tractors, and farm equipment. The concession stand will be open, as always, making this event a great way to spend a late summer day. If you get the chance, and they are around (they are almost always around), find the Pearce’s themselves. What a wonderful couple they are, whether encountered together or individually.
