LITTLE GEMS

Nobody’s going to do a damn thing.
The issue is sitting in misery while the traffic lights up and down Main Street work their slow meandering way of letting some traffic through but not others. Justification and wait times without cross traffic have nothing to do with how they work. They work through software programs of capricious mean-spirited evil. So, get even with the devil inside this system, and don’t get mad.  Smile, now that you know the traffic signals are getting off on your anger, like the spirits from some Twilight Zone or One Step Beyond segment of a television series.  They will all be replaced when the new Main Street comes in during 2026 or 2027.  Breathe deep and recite some Biblical passage like, “Yeh, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall not fear these ungodly damned traffic lights.”

Happy Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day is a holiday that originated as a Christian feast day to honor a martyr named Valentine. It has since become a day to celebrate love and romance. Valentine’s Day is named after Saint Valentine, who was likely executed on February 14 in the 3rd century AD. Valentine secretly married couples in love, which went against the Roman Emperor Claudius II’s decree. The holiday was originally religious, but over time it became a symbol of love. You and your loved ones can celebrate Valentine’s Day all weekend around Geneva Lake.
