The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has paused vaccinations for school district employees.
The state has changed its guidance to state that teachers and daycare staff won’t be eligible until March 1st. This change came about after employees already started receiving vaccinations back on January 20th. The Beloit School District had already vaccinated 340 employees at Mercy in Janesville, but the rest were turned away because they were told there were no more vaccinations. According to Mercy Health, the center will still acquire vaccination material but are reserving the shots for people aged 65 and older, and health care workers. Mercy postponed the rest of the vaccines for the personnel of K-12 school districts because of the change in state guidance
