The Lake Geneva Public Library has backpacks for early readers available for checkout.
Backpacks are provided by the City of Lake Geneva Fire Department and City of Lake Geneva Police Department and they have become so popular the departments have provided three more. Each backpack comes with children’s books on fire safety and a toy fire engine.

A woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing a man during a domestic dispute in the Town of Geneva.
According to the Town of Geneva Police Department, officers and Walworth County deputies responded to W3297 Iris Rd on Tuesday at 5:13 p.m. Dispatchers informed officers that a woman had stabbed a man. EMS transported the victim to a hospital with severe injuries. The Walworth County District Attorney’s Office reviewed the case. Authorities arrested 59-year-old Roxanne R. Skinner for first-degree recklessly endangering safety. Officers took her into custody and booked her into the Walworth County Jail.
